WWE’s Monday Night RAW begins Live from the home-town of good ol’ Heart-Break Kid Shawn Michaels and we begin the show with a video that recaps the events of last week’s RAW. This video focusses on John Cena’s ‘test’ to the Nexus and the revalation that John Cena will lead a team into SummerSlam that faces the Nexus in a Seven-on-Seven tag team contest! The biggest name on Cena’s team… Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart!

We’re in the AT&T Center and we’re brought in by the introduction of John Cena! Cena comes to the ring and doesn’t have the greatest reception (as controversial as usual). Cena speaks and talks about the kind of impact Nexus has been making since invading RAW seven weeks ago. He goes on to say that at SummerSlam the WWE RAW team will beat Nexus and stop their momentum. Stop them completely. Cena is about to make a promisde and then we hear hear the music of Chris Jericho. Jericho is smartly suited and he comes to the ring and tells that this union going into SummerSlam should not be known as superstars coming together to be on “John Cena’s team.” Jericho says that he hates that term and makes it clear that he has his own agenda when it comes to getting revenge and retribution on Nexus. Jericho says that this is his team. Cena then says that “Fine, this is your team” and then tells that all he cares about is beating Nexus. Jericho goes on to yell about this being his team, but then Cena slams Jericho’s mic down and yells at him telling him that it’s not about Chris Jericho. It’s about the company, the whole industry! Nexus have been taking out everyone in their paths including Chris Jericho and John Cena! Cena goes on to say that they have to co-exist and then he says that Chris Jericho is essential to their team. The fans cheer this, but then Jericho says that there’s just a bigger threat to the company as there is Nexus. That threat is John Cena. Jericho says that as soon as they get rid of Nexus, then he’ll be on mission to get rid of John Cena. Cena challenges Jericho to take his best shot. *BLEEP* *BLEEP* Michael Cole steps up to the General Manager’s podium and tells that at SummerSlam it will now be an elimination match with the team that elimates all it’s opponents declared the winner. Tonight the Nexus seven will be against seven of the RAW superstars in a preview to SummerSlam. Cena and Jericho will team up against a tag team of the General Manager’s choosing… “And if you’re not down with that, I’ve got two words for ya…”

Sheamus comes out to sit by the commentary table as Randy Orton makes his entrance. We are reminded that Orton won a Triple Threat number one contender’s match just last week. At SummerSlam it will be Sheamus defending the WWE Championship against Randy Orton.

Randy Orton vs. Jey Uso w/ Jimmy Uso & Tamina

Orton gets on top early on and hits a catapult that whip-lashes Jey under the bottom rope. Jey does well to get back into it and after a headbutt Jey Uso gets an early Two-count. The match goes on as the commentary team of Michael Cole and Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler talk of how impressive the career of Sheamus has been since he came in to the WWE just over a year ago. Jey Uso does well for just a moment against the WWE Title’s number one contender, but Randy Orton hits an RKO and this one’s over.

Winner: Randy Orton.

After the match Jimmy Uso attacks Orton and just as Orton’s trying to fight him off Sheamus comes in and *BAM* Orton ducks the connection as Sheamus goes for a Brogue Kick but hits Jimmy. Orton hits a huge RKO and Sheamus is down. Just then, The Miz’s music hits and he comes down to the ring to try and cash in Money In The Bank! Miz though has to wait till Sheamus gets to his feet before the referee can start the match. Wait though *BOOM* RKO on The Miz! The ‘awesome’ one won’t be cashing in tonight as the only man left standing is The Viper Randy Orton!

Backstage we see Edge talking to Ted DiBiase w/Maryse and Edge tells that he’d rather Ted be on the team for SummerSlam rather than Khali. Edge badmouths Khali and Ted goes on to say that he’s gonna take out John Morrison tonight. Edge then says that that’s good because then Morrison and Khali may be out of SummerSlam. If not, then maybe Edge will have to force John Cena’s hand as leader, because Edge might well take out The Great Khali. (As Edge walks away, we see that Runjin Singh, Khali’s handler has been standing there listening to the whole conversation.

When we come back we see Sheamus and The Miz arguing and the General Manager sends messages to confirm that Cena and Jericho’s opponents tonight will be none other than The Miz and Sheamus!

We see Edge on his cell phone and The Great Khali comes into the Rated R SuperStar’s locker room. Runjin Singh comes in to translate that Khali calls Edge a nincumpoop. Khali challenges Edge to a match right now. Edge though says that’s fine, but if he wins then Khali is off the team for SummerSlam.

The Great Khali w/ Runjin Singh vs. Edge

Khali is on top early as he overpowers Edge. Khali hits Edge with a clothesline to knock him down, and then goes for a leg drop but misses. Edge gets up, but then we see Nexus walk down the ramp. Edge quickly exits the ring and leaps the barricade to escape through the crowd. The Nexus seven get in the ring and surround The Great Khali as we anticpate a beat-down, but then after a while Nexus back off. Khali exits the ring unscathed as Michael Cole wonders why Nexus gave him a pass.

Next up is the Nexus seven vs. Team RAW. (We assume the Khali Edge match has been thrown out).

Nexus vs. Mark Henry. Evan Bourne. Jerry Lawler. Yoshi Tatsu. DH Smith. Tyson Kidd. Goldust.

7 vs. 7 elimination tag match

Michael Tarver makes easy work of Yoshi Tatsu as he powerslams him to an instant elimination early. Jerry Lawler then comes in to perform well against Justin Gabriel as we go to the commercials.

When we come back we learn that Jerry Lawler has been eliminated during the commercial break after a Russian leg sweep from Heath Slater. It’s now seven on five and after some time we have DH Smith eliminated from the match after a Zig-Zag like move from Heath Slater. Goldust comes in to battle David Otunga and he doesn’t last long as Otunga spine-busts Goldust to get the Three count. The match goes on and we have Mark Henry doing well against Heath Slater and then Darren Young and then after a face-off with Skip Sheffield, Mark Henry flattens Justin Gabriel only to get clothelined down by Sheffield and eliminated for this match to become seven on two. Skip Sheffield then does well to deck Tyson Kidd only for Darren Young to come in and finish him off. Then Wade Barrett comes in for Nexus to take down Evan Bourne and Nexus end up winning this one with a clean sweep.

Winners: The Nexus.

After the match Skip Sheffield clotheslines Bourne. Otunga spine-busts hima nd Justin Gabriel finishes with the 450 splash. After that Wade Barrett gets on the mic to tell us that in Cena’s team, or Jericho’s team there’s already decention in the ranks. Nexus are a unit. Sheffield takes over and tells that Nexus work as a team. They aren’t in it for their own ego’s. Michael Tarver tells that SummerSlam will be no different from tonight, where the Nexus will get a clean sweep, save Cena for last and rip him apart.

Backstage we see The Miz and he’s approached by Sheamus who says that there’s no chance in the world that Miz can beat him. Sheamus says that Miz should just name the time and place to challenge him for the Title. Miz then suggests that he just cash in the Money In The Bank tonight after their match with Cena and Jericho. Sheamus says that if Miz keeps pushing him then he’ll make’m regret it. Sheamus punches down the MITB Briefcase and exits.

Brie Bella w/ Nikki Bella vs. Alicia Fox

Early on as Alicia takes Brie down, The Bellas try and make a switch. Jillian though comes out of nowhere and prevents the trade. Brie then rolls up Alicia who kicks out, gets up and performs her version of the scissor-kick!

Winner: Alicia Fox.

After the match Jillian gives Alicia a bit of a sing-song, but Alicia doesn’t like her singing so she scissor kicks her down and leaves without breaking a sweat.

Ted DiBiase w/ Maryse vs. John Morrison

R-Truth on commentary

Ted DiBiase decks Morrison early and visciously grounds him before getting a near fall. R-Truth meanwhile is talking about the RAW rosters chances against the Nexus at SummerSlam. Morrison gets on top and is about to perform his signature before Maryse steps up onto the apron. Truth gets off commentary to stop any interference and Ted meanwhile manages to get a near fall on Morrison – but Ted had his feet on the ropes and Truth hit them off. Ted shoves R-Truth and as Morrison approaches Ted drop-toe-holds him and Morrison drops onto the middle rope all the while smashing inadvertently into R-Truth. Ted rolls Morrison up and gets the victory.

Winner: Ted DiBiase w/ Maryse.

After the match John Morrison and R-Truth argue about the outcome of the match and the commenatry team tell that these two are really good friends, but this has thrown a spanner in the works. We then see John Cena watching all this on a screen backstage and the emphasis is on the fact that the WWE Team for SummerSlam is falling apart.

When we come back we see a video recapping the rivalry between John Cena and The Nexus. The video concludes by reminding us that it’s the WWE’s super-team against The Nexus at SummerSlam. When we come back to the commentary team Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler tell that a week makes a big difference as even though the WWE guys looked on the same page last week, tonight there’s been seperations everywhere. John Cena and Chris Jericho, Edge and Khali, even R-Truth and John Morrison – how are they all going to co-exist at SummerSlam?!

In a short interview with Randy Orton, Josh Matthews asks if Orton would prefer to face The Miz at SummerSlam given that he prevented him cashing in earlier tonight? Orton says that he RKO’d both Sheamus and The Miz, making it clear that it doesn’t faze him who he faces at SummerSlam. The ending will be the same. RKO.

The Miz & Sheamus vs. Chris Jericho & John Cena

After an early exchange The Miz tags in Sheamus who comes in and locks it up with John Cena. Sheamus puts on a headlock, but Cena rolls out and puts on a headlock of his own before being pushed against the ropes and then taking Sheamus down with a shoulder barge. Jericho gets tagged in and he does an impressive job to keep the WWE Champion grounded for some time. Just as Sheamus tries to get momentum, Jericho tubles him to ringside and we go to commercials with the view of The Miz trash talking his own tag partner as it seems that Cena and Jericho at least are on the same page.

The match goes back and forth as the commentator’s tell that both sets of teams here seem to be on the same page while in the ring. Jericho’s against Sheamus in the ring and he gets a Two count after taking Jericho down with a backbreaker. Miz tags in to keep the pressure on Jericho. Jericho though manages to get a reversal and then tries to get across for a tag to Cena, but Miz tags Sheamus and the Celtic Warrior comes in to prevent the tag. Sheamus keeps Jericho grounded and then Miz tags in again. After some time though Miz makes a mistake and this time Chris Jericho does make the tag! Cena comes in to clean house and he ends up putting the Five-Knuckle-Shuffle on Sheamus. Just when he’s about to set up the Attitude Adjustment, Jericho comes in and CodeBreaker’s John Cena! Miz comes in and gets the cover!

Winners: The Miz and Sheamus.

After the match Miz leaves victorious without attacking Sheamus. Jericho then puts the Walls on Cena. Cena though powers out and manages to put the STF on Jericho. We then have The Great Khali come down and tell Cena to stop. Cena does, but then we see Edge come and Spear down Khali! Cena and Edge then have a shoving contest before we have Morrison and R-Truth hit the ring. They all argue for a while and then we see Khali chop down Edge and then Morrison as Monday Night RAW fades out with Cena’s (or Jericho’s) team in dissarray.
