Pink, who already puts on a theatrical show, added a little unexpected drama tonight when she fell out of a harness, and into a barricade during her performance at the Easy Credit Station in Nurnberg, Germany.
She was taken off the stage and put into an ambulance.
The singer tweeted an apology to her fans: “I am so so so sorry to end the show that way. I am embarassed and very sorry.”
She added from the hospital, “Getting xrays. I hope it at least looked cool!!!”
Fortunately, all is OK was the singer. Pink later let her fans know, via Twitter, “nothings broken, no fluid in the lungs, just seriously sore.”

when you grip it with the death grip
and you’re call slips away
the media loves a failure
in a string of success
the facts won’t ever matter
if they can make bigger messes
sure i can make it happen
but in terms of daily usage
i’ve yet to drop a call
so this whole damn thing is stupid
and you can call me a fanboy
i’ve been called worse things
but gizmodo just ridiculous
pulling their anti-apple strings
you bought a stolen prototype
get over it and move on

Inception is so spectacularly entertaining you’ll want to see it twice, and so mind-bendingly original you’ll need to see it more than once to get all the intricacies of the story. Writer/director Christopher Nolan cements his place as one of our top living filmmakers with this trippy sci-fi action thriller/romance that more than lives up to its hype.
Inception’s one of those movies you absolutely must engage your brain to understand and enjoy. Get your popcorn and sodas before the first frame or go without – you don’t want to miss a minute for fear of losing track of the story. But Inception not only demands your attention it earns it by never letting the effects overwhelm the characters, never settling for an easy out or taking storytelling shortcuts, and by keeping the pace brisk and the action stunningly inventive.
A refreshing reprieve from a summer full of disappointments, Inception is that rare beast that lingers with you long after you’ve left the theater. What Nolan’s accomplished with Inception is, to put it simply, brilliant.
Inception – The Story
Inception is all about a new form of corporate espionage: the ability to steal ideas while the owner’s dreaming. This is done by means of an ‘extraction’ team. Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) heads up the most successful such team, with Arthur (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) as the point man who helps set up the scheme. They’ll be joined for their riskiest mission by Ariadne as the architect (Ellen Page) who creates the perfect dreamscape, and Eames (Tom Hardy) as a forger/master of disguise. Yusuf (Dileep Rao) is in charge of administering the drugs used to keep the team and its target in the dream state and who ultimately makes sure they all exit the dream safely.
When we first are introduced to Cobb, a conflicted man who cannot return to his family in the States for a reason that’s left unexplained for much of the film, he’s in the middle of trying to extract a secret from a powerful businessman named Saito (Ken Watanabe). The mission doesn’t go as planned, but it does lead to a job offer Cobb can’t refuse. In exchange for planting an idea in someone’s head, Saito offers Cobb the opportunity to return to the US to be reunited with his family. That offer’s impossible for Cobb to resist as he desperately misses his two small children, although planting an idea means the team will be entering uncharted territory.
The target of the job is Robert Fischer Jr (Cillian Murphy), the heir to a multibillion-dollar corporation. Saito wants Fischer to break up his father’s company so the team must plant that seed in Fischer’s subconscious. How they go about tackling this mission, how they handle the complexities involved in journeying through a stranger’s mind, and the emotional turmoil Cobb experiences as he spends extended periods of time in the dream state with – no spoilers here – someone whose presence both disturbs and thrills him, makes for an incredibly tense thrill ride of a film you have to experience to understand.

The Acting
Leonardo DiCaprio is having a terrific year with both Shutter Island and Inception clear examples of why he’s one of the most sought-after and respected actors of his generation. DiCaprio doesn’t go big when small will do, and that can also be said of the rest of the cast.
Ellen Page may be diminutive in stature but as Ariadne, the sole female member of the extraction team, she’s a fearsome presence. And as the chemist who handles the dream-inducing drugs, Dileep Rao (Avatar) is responsible for the film’s lighter moments, of which there are very few, and he handles the task of providing comic relief well. Marion Cotillard (Nine) isn’t part of the team (and I’ve deliberately left mentions of her character out so as not to spoil the film) but she does play a key role in Inception. Cotillard gets better with each project, and she’s simply breathtaking and heartbreaking as a pivotal player in Nolan’s twisted drama.
Particularly impressive is Joseph Gordon-Levitt (500 Days of Summer) as Cobb’s right-hand man. Gordon-Levitt did 99% of his own stunts which is an impressive feat in this film, but he’s equally as adept at handling the film’s quieter moments. And Nolan has also brought back a few of his past collaborators – Michael Caine (as DiCaprio’s dad), Ken Watanabe, and Cillian Murphy – to fill key roles. It seems Nolan can’t do a movie now without Caine, which is good news for all of us Caine fans. Cillian Murphy, The Scarecrow in Nolan’s Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, makes the character of an heir to billions into a sympathetic figure, playing him as someone who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth but who doesn’t adopt the airs of a filthy rich man who thinks he’s entitled. This sort of character has been done to death in films so to see how Nolan and Murphy have chosen to humanize the character is refreshing.
Ken Watanabe is a terrific actor but I have to say that if there’s anything about Inception that I was a little disappointed in it was the occasional scene in which Watanabe was a little difficult to understand because of his heavy accent. It’s a minor annoyance and it only flared up a few times. And last but not least, Tom Hardy’s a real scene-stealer as a forger who can kick ass and steal identities.

The Bottom Line
Inception makes a clear case for why the Academy Awards should honor ensemble efforts. Every member of Nolan’s team pulls his/her weight in Inception and, as complex as this story is, one bad apple could have spoiled the entire film. The story revolves around Leonardo DiCaprio’s character, however every one of the key roles is fully fleshed out, every actor is pitch perfect. Normally in a production of this size there’s a character or two you sort of forget are even in the film after you’ve left the theater. That’s not likely to happen with any of the characters in Inception.
Nolan opted to go with as little CG as possible and to involve his actors in as many stunts as they could safely handled. That adds a level of realism to the film with the characters seeming to be in real peril. From the gorgeous sequence featured in the trailer with Ellen Page and Leonardo DiCaprio sitting at a table outside a Paris cafe while all around them storefronts burst into the air to a white-knuckle crash scene with a van filled with the team out of control and rolling down a hill to a high speed shoot ‘em up sequence in the Alps to our heroes underwater in distress, Nolan’s decision to do as much in camera as possible is shown over and over again to have been absolutely the right choice. There’s an extra weight and grittiness to each of the action scenes that wouldn’t have been there if they were CG creations.
Cinematographer Wally Pfister and editor Lee Smith may have had the most difficult jobs on Inception, but the results of their hard work is award-worthy. The film deals with waking reality and multiple levels of dreaming, and Pfister and Smith helped pull off Nolan’s vision without making a single misstep.
Inception isn’t so much just a movie to sit through in an air-conditioned theater as it is a genuine cinematic experience. It’s actually a little draining both mentally and physically, but not in a negative way. You become so immersed in this world Nolan’s created that sitting through Inception takes a little time to recuperate from, and you’ll be replaying scenes in your head for days trying to answer a few lingering questions. Worth every penny spent in the making, and worth every dollar forked over for a ticket, Inception may just be the best movie of 2010. As of mid-July, it’s at the top of my list for all of 2010′s releases thus far.

Jerusalem: He's a Holocaust survivor dancing with his family on what easily could have been his own grave.
A video clip of Adolek Kohn awkwardly shuffling and shimmying with his daughter and grandchildren to the sound of "I Will Survive" at Auschwitz and other sites where millions died during the Holocaust has become an Internet sensation.
It's also sparking debate over whether the images show disrespect for those who perished - or are an exuberant celebration of life.
The fight - raging on Facebook, Twitter and elsewhere - poses uncomfortable questions about how to approach one of history's greatest tragedies: What's the "proper" way to commemorate it? Can a survivor pay homage in a way that might be unthinkable for others?
Adding to the irony, Kohn and his dancing brood owe their fame to neo-Nazi groups who posted the clip on their websites and turned it viral, his daughter told The Associated Press on Thursday.
The 4½-minute video opens with the 89-year-old Kohn, his daughter Jane Korman and three grandchildren dancing near the infamous railroad tracks leading to Auschwitz.
The group then moves to other Holocaust locations across Poland and Germany, including the notorious "Arbeit Macht Frei" ("Work sets you free") sign at Auschwitz's entrance, Poland's Lodz ghetto and the Dachau concentration camp.
In one eerie shot, with his family behind him, Kohn presses his face to the small opening in a cattle car of the type that transported so many to their deaths. In another, he raises his arms and leads the troupe in a conga line to the pulsating disco beat of the Gloria Gaynor song.
Kohn, shown at one point wearing a white T-shirt emblazoned with the word "Survivor" and flashing a V-for-victory sign, told Australia's Nine Network he didn't think the video was offensive because the dance was distinct from the memory of those who died.
"Why did I do that? First of all because I came with my grandchildren," he said in an interview from his home in Melbourne, Australia. "Who could come with their grandchildren? ... Most of them are dead."
"We came to Auschwitz with the grandchildren and created a new generation, that's why we danced," he said.
Korman, a Melbourne-based artist now visiting Israel, filmed the clip during a trip she took with her father, four children and a niece last summer to Kohn's native Poland, and to places in Germany and the Czech Republic where he once lived.
Her parents, both Auschwitz survivors, fully support the video, Korman said. "They both say ... 'We came from the ashes, now we dance,'" she said.
"I was thinking, what can I do? My family will be there, how can I pass on the message of the past, the lessons of the past?"
The clip was posted on YouTube in January, but didn't attract attention until several weeks ago after neo-Nazi groups put it on their websites, she said. It originally was part of a video installation Korman presented in Melbourne last December.
While the footage has become an unlikely Internet hit, the controversy it has triggered is less surprising.
Michael Wolffsohn, a German Jewish historian at the Bundeswehr Munich, called it "tasteless" and questioned Korman's motives. "It is simply embarrassing self-promotion," he said.
"If this video would be in his family album nobody would care about it. But because it is in the World Wide Web, the video received public attention it does not deserve," said Rabbi Andreas Nachama, director of a museum located on the site of the former Gestapo headquarters in Berlin.
However, Piotr Kadlcik, the head of Poland's Jewish community, said reactions were mixed among Warsaw's Jews. He didn't find it offensive, he said, because it was made by a Holocaust survivor.
"It's extremely difficult to judge Holocaust survivors in places like that," he said. "Maybe he needs it; maybe it was important for him to do something like that" - to defy those who would have destroyed the Jews.
"If someone else were to do it, I would find it highly inappropriate," Kadlcik added. "But in the case of someone who is Jewish and who is a Holocaust survivor... these people lived through things that we, fortunately, cannot imagine."
By Wednesday, the clip had drawn more than 500,000 hits and numerous comments. On Thursday, YouTube replaced it with a message saying it had been removed due to copyright issues. Other versions were still available, and the clip was also circulating on Facebook and Twitter.
In Israel, home to the largest concentration of Holocaust survivors, the video has received scant attention. Israel's Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial had no comment.
In Germany, however, it was widely shown on TV and other media outlets and circulated on the Internet, where many, mostly young people, expressed support.
"Everyone should be allowed to find their own way to work through their past and what happened in Germany then," said Falk Ebert, a 22-year-old student in Stuttgart. "When it is survivors themselves, no one should tell them how they have to deal with their past."
Korman said she has had "massive responses from all over the world, positive, negative, full of hate, full of love."
"My father and my mother both went through Auschwitz and this is a way they want to express their joy of being alive, of surviving, of an affirmation of their lives," she said. "My dad was overwhelmed with happiness that he could be there with his grandchildren and dance to this song of survival."
Korman didn't tell her father of her plan to make a dance video at Auschwitz, the Lodz ghetto and the synagogue where Adolf Hitler had wanted to build a museum of the race he tried to eradicate.
But Kohn didn't object when she unveiled her idea in the heart of the Holocaust horrors, he told the British Broadcasting Corp.
"I didn't mind dancing because I arrived with my five grandchildren and my daughter in Auschwitz. If somebody had asked me then that I would come 62 years later with my grandchildren to Auschwitz, I would send him to a madhouse."
The dancing, he added, "Was very important because we are alive, we survived. We created a generation, a new generation, a beautiful generation."
Riya shocked Suraj Panscholi when she grabbed him and smooched her before several celebrities.
Well, it is the hot way to keep herself in news.
Malarvadi Arts Club movie tells the story of five friends who run the Malarvadi Arts Club.

As they have reached an important point of their lives, having completed their studies and are in the lookout for a job, they have no other place for a hangout than their old children’s club. The Club is at the edge of destruction with new generation children showing no interest in group activities, other than those related to their studies. The five some decides to somehow run the Club and organize better activities with the help of the local men. ‘Malarvadi Arts Club’ follows the hilarious attempts of the quintet, to establish themselves and their club in their silent hamlet.
“Malarvadi Arts Club’ will present five well groomed newcomers, with the characters of the movie named after them. The five men in the film are good at heart, but with different temperaments”, says the young director, who presents his five heroes. Prakashan, who is having the thickest beard in the group, is the most impulsive one while Praveen, the guitarist is the most reserved one in the group. Santhosh, the soft spoken lad is the most financially sound guy among the quintet. Purushu is the romantic hero whose discourses swing between foolishness to seriousness. And then they have a Kuttu, a tenth standard drop out, with no real talents, but the most essential team member. Janapriya Nayakan Dileep is expected to come up in a cameo in the flick.
The cast list of the movie also includes Nedumudi Venu, Jagathy Sreekumar, Suraj Venjaramood, Salim Kumar, Kottayam Nazeer and two fresh faces as heroines, Revathy and Geethu.

Mallanaga V?tsy?yana is the name of a Hindu philosopher in the Vedic tradition who is considered to have lived during time of the Gupta Empire (4th to 6th centuries CE) in India. His name appears as the author of the Kama Sutra and of Ny?ya Sutra Bh?shya, the first commentary on Gotama’s Ny?ya Sutras.
Hardly anything is known about him. His real name is supposed to be Mallinaga or Mrillana, Vatsyayana being his family name. At the close of the work this is what he writes about himself:
“ | After reading and considering the works of Babhravya and other ancient authors, and thinking over the meaning of the rules given by them, this treatise was composed, according to the precepts of the Holy Writ, for the benefit of the world, by Vatsyayana, while leading the life of a religious student at Benares, and wholly engaged in the contemplation of the Deity. This work is not to be used merely as an instrument for satisfying our desires. A person acquainted with the true principles of this science, who preserves his Dharma (virtue or religious merit), his Artha (worldly wealth) and his Kama (pleasure or sensual gratification), and who has regard to the customs of the people, is sure to obtain the mastery over his senses. In short, an intelligent and knowing person attending to Dharma and Artha and also to Kama, without becoming the slave of his passions, will obtain success in everything that he may do.’ | ” |
It is impossible to fix the exact date either of the life of Vatsyayana or of his work. It is supposed that he must have lived between the first and sixth century of the Common era, on the following grounds. He mentions that Satakarni Satavahana, a king of Kuntal, killed Malayevati his wife with an instrument called Katamari by striking her in the passion of love, and Vatsya quotes this case to warn people of the danger arising from some old customs of striking women when under the influence of this passion. Now this king of Kuntal is believed to have lived and reigned during the first century A.D., and consequently Vatsya must have lived after him. On the other hand, Varahamihira, in the eighteenth chapter of his `Brihatsanhita’, treats of the science of love, and appears to have borrowed largely from Vatsyayana on the subject. Now Varahamihira is said to have lived during the sixth century A.D., and as Vatsya must have written his works previously, therefore not earlier than the first century A.D., and not later than the sixth century A.D., must be considered as the approximate date of his existence
Salt is an upcoming American action thriller film directed by Phillip Noyce, written by Kurt Wimmer and Brian Helgeland, and starring Angelina Jolie, Liev Schreiber, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Jolie plays Evelyn Salt, accused of being a KGB sleeper agent, on the run to try to clear her name. While Tom Cruise was initially secured for the lead, he was unable to commit to the role because of commitments to other projects, and the script was ultimately rewritten for Jolie.
Filming took place on location in Washington, DC and New York City between March and June 2009. Jolie was taken to the hospital after suffering a head injury on set but was released the same day where filming resumed. The film will have a panel at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 22 and will be released in North America on July 23, 2010, and August 20, 2010, in the United Kingdom.
CIA agent Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) goes on the run to try to clear her name after being accused by a defector of being a KGB sleeper agent plotting to assassinate the President of the United States
In 2007 it was reported that Terry George and Peter Berg would direct, but both dropped out for undisclosed reasons.[6][7] A year later it was confirmed thatPhillip Noyce would direct. In 2007, Tom Cruise had been approached by Noyce to play Edwin A. Salt from the script written by Kurt Wimmer. Cruise was unable to commit to the script because of other commitments to projects and feared that the character was too close to his Mission Impossible character Ethan Hunt. The filmmakers tried to differentiate the character from Hunt, but eventually came to accept they were too similar and decided not to change the characteristics of Salt. Noyce said “But, you know, he had a valid point. It was kind of returning to an offshoot of a character that he’d already played. It’s like playing the brother, or the cousin, of somebody that you played in another movie”.
Columbia Pictures executive Amy Pascal suggested Angelina Jolie to Noyce, who had often spoken to Jolie in the past about a desire to create a female spy franchise. Jolie was sent the script in September of that year and liked it. Wimmer, Noyce, and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura went to visit Jolie at her home in France to discuss a possible script and character change. Writer Brian Helgeland helped with the character development and dialogue of the script based on the notes that came out of those discussions with Jolie and to accompany the gender change, the title character’s name was changed to Evelyn Salt.[9] When asked if the script written for Cruise was the same for Jolie, he said “I think that it’s just been a continual process, obviously accelerating by changing the central character. But the ideas — the locomotive of ideas that drive the movie are the same. An undercover CIA operative is accused of being a Russian mole, and has to go on the run to defend themselves [sic]. That’s been the same since day one. The tone of the film has changed in this evolution. In the same way, I guess, as — you know — action thrillers have changed along the lines of the Bond films and the Bourne films”.[9][1]
On February 19, 2009, it was confirmed that Liev Schreiber would play the role of Ted Winter, Evelyn Salt’s friend and colleague in the CIA.[2] Three days later Variety reported that Chiwetel Ejioforwould play Peabody, “a young CIA agent who works for Winter, the mentor of Evelyn Salt, an agent fingered as a Russian sleeper spy. With Peabody in hot pursuit, she must clear her name and figure out the identity of the real spy”.[3]
Principal photography took place mostly on location in New York and Washington, DC from March to June 2009, while re-shoots were done in December 2009.Filming for a chase sequence took place in Albany on Water Street near the Interstate 787 ramp between April and May.
Jolie spent time training before filming to perform a lot of her stunts herself. Bonaventura said “She is so prepared and so ready and gung-ho, she’ll do any stunt. We had her jumping out of helicopters, shooting, jumping off of all sorts of things and infiltrating places that are impossible to infiltrate”.[15] On May 29, 2009, filming was temporarily halted after Jolie suffered a minor head injury during filming an action scene. She was taken to hospital as a “precautionary measure” and was released the same day with no life-threatening injuries. Filming was resumed that day.
The film will be featured at Comic-Con 2010 on July 22. It is scheduled to be released in North America on July 23, 2010 and August 20, 2010 in the United Kingdom.

Udaan – Simple, Soulful
When guys attain their puberty, their voice box breaks over to give out the mannish deep sound that would identify them for the rest of their lives. Many times, for boys adulthood is all about breaking free, from your own inhibitions, from your parents caring or sometimes constricting clutch and from the conventional ways.
We all experience a rebel-streak in our teens or belatedly during early twenties. For boys, this is more pronounced, aggravated…yes one of those ingrained troubles mankind has to face generation after generation! Ha ha. But jokes apart, this phase is sort of like the friction amongst rocks before they all settle down smoothly. This is the phase that goes a long way in shaping us for what we become. And this is the phase that Udaan explores.
Nothing about Udaan is grand or extraordinary. This story of a severely dysfunctional family with a teenage boy tugging hard at the last remaining strings that hold the family in place is full of heart and soul. The unblemished performances of the actors take it to another level.
Rohan (Rajat Barmecha) is one of those rich kids who are packed off to hill station boarding schools only to meet their parents on vacations. Turns out his relationship with his father (Ronit Roy) is ice cold. Except for the dna strand in their bodies there is no similarity between the father and son. Rohan is expelled from school after a wild- time- out- with- boys’ fiasco and returns home to live with father. He discovers he has a half- brother (Aayan Boradia). So this trio of men awkwardly try to live together with their personal bubbles never so much even skimming to the each other’s.
But the dangerously abusive and military strict father’s rash ways somehow bring the two brothers close. Rohan is pressed down against his wishes to go become an engineer while continuing with the gruelling apprenticeship at his father’s factory. The journey and the steady but painful struggle of Rohan to break free from his fathers oppressiveness and towards realizing his dream of becoming a writer is captured beautifully in this lazy-paced film.
Udaan is peppered with some hilarious moments but at times the artiness catches up and you have a dragging moment. This is one of those movies which once you watch you sort of feel empowered …like maybe you can do anything you want if you put your heart into it! If the father shown in the film is anywhere close to yours you’ll feel happy that there’s some hope for you to get over it all. If you can’t relate to this onscreen father at all, it will make you glad that you are so lucky!
The locations are not ornate but green and clean; bringing a freshness that’s so typical of towns. The music is inspiring, perfect for the film.
The message is to give teens some leeway for their wrong actions. Lets say as a parent you know you had been into bad habits…still are…you know it has been running in your family …like drinking maybe…then its better, when you discover your child has had his first pint, to teach him to drink responsibly and how not to go overboard with the fizzy enjoyment, rather than trying to completely abstain him from it!
Ronit Roy is scary…so the effect is well achieved by his character. Ram Kapoor as his younger brother with a completely opposite mind is endearing. Rajat Barmecha is a silent killer. Without words he says a thousand things and the boy is talented! Aayan Boradia oozes cuteness in every frame. He is so sweet!
Udaan is one of those films that reflect life and watching it may just give perspective on yours.
