Ali Fedotowsky has finally found what she was searching for – love.
The perky blonde beauty, the star of “The Bachelorette,” gave her final rose in Bora Bora, Tahiti, to Roberto, a 26-year-old insurance agent (and former minor league baseball player), and got an engagement ring in return.
“First off, I want you to know, you’re the only guy here today,” Ali said, letting Roberto in on a big shocker – she had let Chris L. go the day before. “I love you so much. I really do.”
“I love you, I want to grow old with you, I want to have a beautiful, beautiful family [with you], I want to share my life with you. Share your life with me. Be my wife,” Roberto replied as he got down on one knee. “Ali, Fedotowsky – will you marry me?”
“Yes,” she squealed as Roberto – the very suitor who had actually received the First Impression Rose from Ali during the show’s first episode – grabbed her for a heartfelt embrace.
While it was good news for Roberto, the show provided one of its biggest shockers to date before Ali even made her pick.
Before the final dates or the final rose ceremony even took place, Ali took Chris L. aside and let the 33-year-old landscaper from Dennis, Mass., go.
“I know I love Roberto and I know Chris has been through a lot in his life and I just don’t want to be the cause of any more hurt,” Ali told “The Bachelorette” cameras, referring to Chris’ personal pain – the loss of his beloved mother. “Everything inside of me was telling me to let Chris go… I know I sent an amazing guy home.”
Despite being jilted before the reality show’s big final ceremony, and losing a girl he had hinted he planned to propose to (he asked Ali’s dad for her hand in marriage earlier in the episode), Chris said Ali impressed him by letting him go so kindly.
“She’s one of the most amazing girls that I’ve ever met in my entire life. The fact that she told me today, before our date and before the rose ceremony, I love that fact about her,” he said. “I could never thank her enough for that. As much as this situation hurts, I want to see her happy. I honestly do.”
Before he departed the tropical paradise of Bora Bora, Chris saw a rainbow, and said he felt like it was a message from his mother.
“As much as it sucks losing Ali, when I saw that rainbow, I know that’s my mom telling me it’s gonna be OK,” he added.
Later, on “After the Final Rose,” Ali revealed that she and Roberto are still going strong and just got a place together in Southern California.
“We got a place, an apartment we rented and we’re gonna be living in San Diego, so we’re really excited… Roberto’s actually living there [already],” Ali said of the couple’s new abode. “As long as we’re together, that’s all that matters.”
As for whether they’ve talked about getting married since the show, Ali said they have been moving in that direction.
“We have,” Ali told Chris. “We’re so happy and sometimes we’re like, ‘Let’s do this now!’… So we’ve talked about possibly next summer.”
“I want her to know I genuinely want to marry her,” Roberto added.

Aadi Perukku is a unique South Indian and especially a Tamil state festival celebrated on the 18th day of the Tamil month of Adi (mid- July to mid-August).
The festival is celebrated in Mauritius tomorrow.
Tamil wives renew their vows by changing their saffron-coloured wedding thread (Taali).
Normally on this day, ladies wait for an auspicious time and go either to the banks of rivers or the seaside and throwthe old wedding thread in the water and replace it with a newly-knitted one.
The festival has particular symbolism for newlyweds who change their Taali for the first time.
The bride has to be dressed as she was on her wedding day and it is the husband who changes the first thread.
For the coming years, it is not necessary for the husband to accompany his wife to the riverbanks or seaside.
After the ritual at the seaside, the ladies go to the temple and pray to the Goddess Ammen to protect their family.
In India, the festival coincides with the annual monsoon rise of the river waters.

A plane crash near Denali Park Headquarters yesterday killed all three people aboard the plane and started a wildland fire close to the Park Road.
The plane was a Fairchild C-123 registered to All West Freight of Delta Junction. The plane crashed into the south facing slope of Mt. Healy about one mile from Denali Park headquarters, just 200 yards from the Park Road. The crash engulfed the plane in flames. Personnel arrived on the scene immediately but there was no way to save the three people inside the plane. Alaska Fire Service smokejumpers arrived on the scene and were able to contain the wildland fire to one acre.
There is currently a flight restriction over the area. National Safety Transportation Board investigators will be at the accident site today. Identities of the three people on board are being withheld until notification of the next of kin.
The Park Road IS open to traffic but the two trails that are closest to the crash are temporarily closed.
KTNA will have more on this story later today and on tomorrow mornings newscast.
According to information released by the agency, all three people on board were killed in the Alaska plane crash. Their identities have not been released yet. National Transportation Safety Board investigators are expected to arrive today.
The plane went down at approximately 3 pm and crashed into the south-facing slope of Mount Healy. Upon impact the plane caught fire and sparked a wildfire in the area. The fire was safely contained quickly at one acre.
Park spokeswoman Kris Fister said investigators had a hard time determining the number of fatalities in the Fairchild C-123 crash because “the plane pretty much disintegrated.”
Investigations are still underway, stay “tuned” for updates.
Investigators in Alaska have identified the cargo plane that crashed Sunday in Denali National Park.
The National Park Service says it was a Fairchild C-123 registered to All West Freight Inc. of Delta Junction, Alaska.The plane crashed into the south-facing slope of Mount Healy within a mile of the park headquarters and about 200 yards north of the only road into the park. It went down about 3 p.m. near the eastern edge of the park, about 180 miles north of Anchorage.

Phil Jackson has officially signed a contract to return to the Los Angeles Lakers.
The 11-time NBA champion coach announced on July 1 that he would return for what he called “the last stand for me” but it took until last week to finalize a new contract, according to a source close to the situation.
Terms of Jackson’s new contract have not been released. A message left for his agent Todd Musburger Monday evening was not returned.
With Jackson’s deal finally in place, the Lakers were able to quickly reach agreements with the rest of his staff. Longtime assistants Brian Shaw, Frank Hamblen and Jim Cleamons are returning and special assistant Chuck Person has officially been added to the staff.
